Introduction 1

This is one of the most thought provoking and enriching experiences of my life. The

hotel in which I got an opportunity to stay in, had a superb and a noble concept and

I was really very impressed with it. The name of this hotel is ‘Seva’. It means selfless

service. This hotel is in four places in my country; Ahmedabad, Pune, Mumbai and

Bangalore. It also has a café attached to it which is called ‘The Seva Café’.

This is a simple hotel with a deep, meaningful and extraordinary concept. The idea

was borrowed from the Karma’s Kitchen restaurant in the USA. The entire hotel

works on volunteers who give their services in cooking, cleaning and serving. At the

end of the meal or stay the customers are given a bill with zero amount. They are

informed that their bill was gift paid by a previous guest and are requested to now

pay for a future guest. It works on the theory of ‘pay it forward’. 

I went there as a part of my school educational tour. It was part of our social studies

class and we were taught the theory of karma which means ‘what goes around

comes around’. The rooms were clean, cozy and comfortable. The food was pure,

delicious and healthy. I felt very surprised to learn about such a concept. I felt very

proud of the volunteers. It was a calm and satisfactory feeling.

After my visit to this hotel I have learned the ‘art of giving’. I feel joy from within

when I give something to others. I have come across many hotels but this one was

very unique and impressive. The hotel and café receive on an average 50 to 60

guests per day. Not many people are still aware about this hotel. I feel that more

such outlets should open so that we can spread goodness in the world.

Where is it?
Well, we often go for holidays and during this time we stay in hotels. Usually we book budget hotels but here I would like to share my experience of staying in a luxury hotel, which was a Four Stars property Holiday hotel. Actually, during last summer we went to Manali to escape the heat of plains.

What it is like? And Why you went there?
We booked this hotel online and we got this property at a very reasonable price. We booked a suite, so that we all four members can put up together. Holiday Inn is a River view hotle and one can see the roaring river from the hotel room and it is really a breath-taking view.

It is a massive hotel with hundreds of rooms and we got really impressed by the interiors. Beside comfortable rooms, this hotel had many facilities for the guests for example swimming pool where we had a lot of fun together. There was also a gaming room where my brother and I played table tent for the very first time.

How did you feel about it?
The best part of the stay in this hotel was the food. There was a multi cuisine restaurant where we tried few international foods. The food was finger licking delicious and we ate to the fullest. I feel lucky because at their the famous Punjabi singer Guru Randhawa He was also staying in the same hotel.

Conclusion:
So, I had an opportunity to have a selfie with him and also get his autograph. This thing made our stay in this hotel memorable Overall, it was a memorable experience in this hotel and I wish to stay in the hotel again.

Where is it? and What it is like?

• I am a student, so I do not get a lot more chance to visit new places and stayed in hotels. 
• But, here I am going to talk about a hotel that I visited in 2019 with my family during summer vacations. 
• The hotel’s name is the Holiday Inn Resort. 
• It is located on the picturesque beach on the south side of Goa. 
• The main feature of this resort is, it is very close to the railway station and the airport. 
• Room prices are very affordable. Hotel management provides special services for kids, such as they provide children care service and children’s activity area with full security. 
• It is the best of wedding parties, private dinners, and conferences. 

Why you went there?

• One and a half years ago, in June, I went there with my family because one of my friends suggested it and told me about the various services that the hotel provides at a minimum price. 
• We booked two rooms there. The room service was excellent. 
• Hotel management is always ready to fulfill Customer’s Every request within minutes. 
• The food in the resort was delicious. 

How did you feel about it?

• I felt very comfortable and satisfied with all services. 
• I enjoyed the whole tour very much and clicked on many pictures.
• I bought clothes and some antique items. 
• I recommend this hotel to many people.

• Last to last year, my parents and I went to Andaman and Nicobar Islands during the winter vacations.
• It was very cold in Punjab, and we needed a break from the cold weather.

Where is it?

• However, it was a last-minute plan, and we didn’t have a hotel reservation.
• We thought we would just get the room after reaching there.

Why you went there?

• Unfortunately, most of the cheap hotels were already fully booked, because of the holiday season and as there was a medical convention in Port Blair.
• So, for the first time in our life, we stayed in a five-star hotel.
• It was a part of TAJ hotel chains.

What is it like?

• Before the stay, I had always thought that five-star hotels are just a waste of money.
• But the experience completely changed my opinion.
• The rooms were actually individual cottages on the beachside.
• The beach water was so blue that it was unbelievable.
• We could actually see all the fish in the water.
• The room service was also incredible.
• It was like there was a special person just allotted to our cottage.
• As soon as we ordered something, one of the hospitability staff brought it to us.
• But the most unforgettable part of the experience was the breakfast.
• It was one of the most elaborate breakfast buffets I ever had.
• There were nearly ten different cuisines available from Indian to Chinese to Continental.
• I don’t think there was one dish; I could have rated average.
• There were all very delicious.
• We all ate much more than we should have.

How did you feel about it?

• Actually, we had decided to switch to one of the cheaper hotels if they were available.
• But, because of our experience, we decided to extend our stay at the hotel, despite the cost.

• Being a voracious traveller, I have stayed in a plethora of hotels.
• Last month I got an opportunity to stay in an unusual hotel.

Where is it? , and What it is like?

• The hotel name is Ginger Hotel, and it is in Goa.
• This hotel is quite different from other hotels.
• The unique feature this hotel has is that it operates with minimal staff.
• The savings they make from hiring less staff help them to offer a reasonable tariff to its customers.
• Apart from this, the whole hotel runs through solar power.
• All window panes have solar panels installed within them.
• Goa city experiences scorching heat throughout the year the hotel uses the sunlight by generating electricity from it in a prudent way
• Moreover, a small kitchen was there inside the room where I cooked mouth-watering delicacies for myself.
• I made huge savings for my company by staying in this hotel.

Why you went there?

• The purpose of my visit was official, I had to meet an overseas client in Goa.
• Since I had to stay for one night only, I preferred to stay in a budget hotel.

How did you feel about it?

• I felt quite amazed by the working style and atmosphere of the hotel.
• Moreover, I got immense satisfaction from the services rendered by the hotel staff.
• In the contemporary epoch, when most of the hotels charge exorbitant tariff, this hotel is setting the right precedent.
• The hotel’s central focus is not on strengthening its bottom line.
• The whole staff works tirelessly to provide a world-class experience at an affordable price.
• As per my opinion, all hotels should follow the footsteps of this hotel chain.

Staying in a hotel gives a very good feeling as we get everything on order and we feel like a king. In my life I have stayed in hotels many times and here I am going to talk about one special hotel where I had a chance to stay for one week.

When / Why you went there/ where it is

Actually my father is working with Dell Company. Last year dell company earned one billion dollars more than the previous year.  So Dell Company gave all its workers free family tour pack to Singapore. So all of us went to Singapore and stayed in Taj Hotel. Taj Hotel is a big chain and it has 5 star hotels all over the world.

What it is like

Taj hotel is like a king’s palace. I felt that as if I have come to some heavenly world. The rooms were beautifully decorated and for every family there was a separate attendant. We could see the beautiful sight of the beach and see from our room winds. The food was so delicious that I can never forget the taste of the food in my whole life.

How you felt about it

I felt extremely glad for staying at such a grand hotel. Anything we imagined was available to eat. Service was amazing and quick. There was a large swimming pool inside the hotel. For children there was a games section. I found that everybody should have the experience of staying in such a hotel once in life.

The hotel’s name is the ‘ The Taj’. Taj Chandigarh is the finest luxury hotel in Chandigarh and is well-suited to both business and leisure travellers. The main feature of this resort is, it is very close to the railway station and the airport. 

Room prices are very affordable. Hotel management provides special services for kids, such as they provide children care service and children’s activity area with full security. 

It is the best of wedding parties, private dinners, and conferences. 

One and a half years ago, in June, I went there with my family because one of my friends suggested it and told me about the various services that the hotel provides at a minimum price. 

         We booked two rooms there. We stayed for about a week in this hotel. I liked the outstanding facilities they offered. The first    thing was that the entire building is connected with Wi-Fi and I used the internet for free of costs. Besides, the food in the hotel’s was yummy. They offered varieties of traditional and other continental foods. But most often I ate our local food because I found it very interesting for me. The services I received from the professional staffs were remarkable. In fact at first, I was a bit nervous about the cost but when I arrived, all of my worries were   gone. I, in fact, liked staying at this hotel and wish to return again. I recommend this hotel to many people.

1. What kind of hotel would you prefer to stay when you go for a holiday?

I would prefer to stay in a hotel which is clean, affordable and which is

equipped with basic amenities. I would not spend much on accommodation.

I would rather prefer to use that money on sightseeing and shopping. The

stay should be comfortable and the hotel should be near the railway station

and airport.

2. Do you think that staying in a five star hotel is a waste of money?

Well, I don’t say that because staying in a five star hotel has its own

advantages and reasons. It is not a waste of money if you are staying there

for business or to experience the luxurious services. If you are going for

sightseeing then only for keeping the luggage five star hotel is a waste of

money.

3. What are some best features of good hotels according to you?

In my opinion simple booking, cheerful and helpful staff, excellent food,

clean linen, affordable tariff package and pick up and drop facilities are some

features of a good hotel.

4. Do you like to travel? Why?

Yes I love to travel. It is my desire to travel across my country and then visit

many beautiful places in the world. I wish to travel to explore the culture,

food and lifestyle of people around the globe.

5. With whom do you like to travel?

That depends on my destination. If I have to travel to a religious place then

I would prefer to go with family. If it is a sight-seeing and adventurous place

then I would like to go with my friends. I would also prefer to go alone if it is

a spiritual place.
