When was it?

How you helped him/her?

Why you helped him/her?

How you felt about it?

Introduction: 1

This happened a few weeks ago. One midnight my friend, ABC (you may use the

name of your choice) called me. I was in deep sleep and picked up his call in anxiety.

He told me that he was not feeling well and he needed to see the doctor as soon as

the day breaks. I was as nervous as him because in the current times if someone is

unwell then then first thought that we get is Covid-19 virus.

I wore two masks and took him to the doctor early morning. Our doubt was right

and the doctor advised us to go for an RTPCR test for Covid. His reports were bad

and he was positive with the disease. He had no choice but to be isolated until

recovery. It was a difficult time for him as his family was not with him.

I helped him with each and everything because it was my duty and also because I

have feelings for my friends. I bought him all the medicines. My mom prepared

breakfast, lunch and dinner for him and I used to deliver it to his doorstep. I also got

him fruits rich in vitamin C and was in constant touch with him.

Apart from that I encouraged him and told him stories of people who had recovered

safely. He was scared because of the grim situation. I felt responsible to help him

and I also felt proud of myself. It was very satisfying to see him become normal in a

short time. I felt a sense of relief and great that my timely help was available to my

friend. By God’s grace my friend is out of danger now.

Introduction:2

Well, I am quite helpful by nature and I never miss a chance to help my near and dear ones or even strangers.

When it was?
But, here I would like to talk about one such incident when I helped my friend who was in dire need of money. Karan is my school friend. He is my best buddy and I have spent a lot of time with him. He is a super-intelligent student and he has helped me in my studies throughout my school days.

I vividly remember, when we were in 8th grade and our final exam was just around the corner. We all received a notice from our school management to deposit the outstanding fee prior to the final exam. Else they would not allow the students to sit in the examination hall. The time when my friend read this notice, he really got disappointed when I enquired why he is so sad and disappointed.

He told me that he has no money to pay the school fee. the fact is that is from a very poor family and somehow his parents manage his school fee but at that time his mother was really sick and was hospitalised for that reason most of the earnings were going her medication, to hear this I really got emotional because I did not want to see my friend sad and not being able to take the final exams just because of not paying the school fee in time.

How you helped him/her?
The time I went home, I broke my piggy bank. whatever the money was there, I collected and I decided that I help my friend. In fact, requested my parents as well to give me a pocket allowance in advance. I procured enough money and the next day, I went to the school office and pay the school fee for my friend.

Why you helped him/her? And how you felt about it?
The time he got to know that I had paid his school fee. He just came and hugged me tightly and kept on thanking me again and again but I requested him to stop saying thank you because it just because of our friendship I did this I did not do any kind of favour to you.

Conclusion:

Being an altruist person, I have this habit of helping others. And when it is about helping my friends, I leave no stone unturned. Recently I got an opportunity to help my friend.

When it was?

At the beginning of 2021, my friend Tina called me. She told me that she was in a state of depression for few months. The reason was her burgeoning weight. She wanted me to help her in her weight loss journey.

How you helped him/her?

Like Tina, I was also an obese person a few years back. However, by working hard on my fitness, I managed to lose weight.

To put Tina on the right trajectory, I taught her the science of weight loss from scratch.

She believed that for effective weight loss rigorous exercise is a must. My primary task was to change her belief.

When I told her that she needs to focus more on her diet than exercise to reduce weight, her reaction was shocking.

However, on my persistence, she started following my diet plan.

She started taking all meals between 7 am and 7 pm, coupled with a daily walk for one hour.

Moreover, she refrained from consuming sugar and wheat flour.

After following the path shown by me, she lost 20 kgs weight in six months.

Why you helped him/her?

I helped Tina because, during my tough times, she always provides me with unabated support.

How did you feel about it?

I was in a state of euphoria because my knowledge and experience brought a paradigm shift in my bosom friend’s life.

Introduction 7

Friends are an integral part of our life. Whether we are going through a purple patch or a lean patch in our lives, we like to discuss it with our friends. Being an altruist person, I regularly help others.

Recently I helped one of my friends to come out of depression.

When it was?

Last year my friend Andrew lost money in business. Due to failure, he had lost faith in his ability and started blaming himself.

When I came to know about this, I provided unabated support to Andrew.

How you helped him/her?

Andrew is my bosom friend since childhood. He used to be the topper of the class, and he has this uncanny knack for going beyond the conventional domain to gain success in life.

Due to this habit, he experimented a lot in his business and failed miserably.

I helped him by restarting his office. For one month, I worked with him in this business venture and made him know his mistake.

While working with me, he realized that he could have done his work with determination, dedication, and discipline rather than experimenting a lot.

That one month led to a paradigm shift in his thinking, and now his business is back on track, and he is in a state of euphoria.

Why you helped him/her?

I helped him because, during my tough times, he always helps me.

How did you feel about it?

I felt good because, with my efforts, I had led my friend’s career towards an impressive growth trajectory.

Introduction: 8

Since my childhood, my parents have always taught me to go beyond the conventional domain to help others. Due to their teachings, I always try to help others whenever someone is in need.

When it was?

Last year my friend told me to take care of his home in his absence.

Why you helped him/her?

During that time, a lot of burglaries were happening in our area. My friend had to attend an urgent interview for a plum job with a multinational company. Since no one was there to take care of his home in his absence, I decided to help him.

How you helped him/her?

Due to the corona pandemic, I was working from home those days. For one week, I shifted to my friend’s house in his absence.

My primary duty was to save the house from burglary. To do so I used to lock all the doors and windows before going to the bad.

Apart from this, I took extreme care of his garden. He had numerous vegetables, fruits and flowers planted in his garden area. I would water the plants every day to keep them in a good shape.

While staying there, I found that his rear lawn was in a bad condition. Every evening I would clean it and plant something for its revival. With my efforts, I managed to bring it back to its original shape.

And how you felt about it?

I felt good after fulfilling my promise. Because I was able to hand over my friend’s house to him in mint condition.

Moreover, I gained extreme pleasure by helping him.

Introduction: 9

Well, We all need help at some point in time in our lives. I also received help much time and help others too. When we help others, It makes us delightful and polite, also shows our behavior towards others. Today, I like to  talk about a time when I helped my bosom friend. I remember an incident when I was in 10th standard. I helped my needy friend who was my class fellow.

I assisted her because she was too much worried that she would fail in English subject this time if she did not improve her performance. As a best friend, it was my duty to help her.

I started devoting two hours every day with her. While teaching her, I realized that she was hardworking. She used to put her 100 % in studies by learning with determination, dedication, and discipline. But her efforts were not converting to fruitful results. After a week, I realized that her  English basics were unclear. For one week, I taught her basic grammar rules.

She had burnt midnight oil during this one week and gave her best. The process of learning the basics of English as a teenager is a bit boring, but I made it interesting for her. After that, her performance started improving, and she started getting good scores in the mock tests. She did three months of rigorous practice under my guidance. Although she was nervous while taking the exam, she passed it with 85%.

To be honest, I felt happy at that moment that feeling was extremely different which I never felt before. I realized that some things can give more happiness than eating chocolates. I felt myself on the ninth cloud by happiness.

Introduction: 10

Helping someone is better than doing nothing, but I think as a volunteer, and sometimes whenever I get the chance to help someone, I definitely do it and even say to my peers that it is more important for humanity to help someone, because we are as a social help each other in many ways, but today I want to talk about a particular time when I help my friend Rahul he was in 9th standard with me and because he was failed in his mathematics examination but after sometime when he feels despondent about it and how that he can change his overall performance in mathematics and solve great equations I helped him by giving my notebook in which I wrote a plethora of formulas by which he can easily get solutions and solved his examination questions help him by giving the information that what are the tricks and techniques are used to sell for particular questions and same technique he used it in his examination in 2015 at that time he was so frustrated

just because I spend a lot of time in mathematics and don’t to study to another project but also I was weak in Science, he also helped me similarly and meanwhile we help each other, but after helping him, I get to realize that how important it. it is to get the help of someone and also to help someone in the same way but when we both give the exams after when result declared we are just on the Moon just because the result was extraordinary and how Happy joyful it is for each other and even in a maths the number of Rahul was more than me, and I’ve blessed him for his future and also now he is in Canada Vancouver he lived with his family and even some time whenever I get the chance I called him, but after that experience, I get to know that there is nothing impossible if I help or if someone help to other human being it just makes coordination between people and it is actually the behavior of a person which actually reflect a lot of things as a human being

Follow up Questions

  1. Would you thank a friend if he/she helped you? Why?

In our culture there is no tradition to say thank you to friends and family. It

is believed that if we thank our closed ones then we do so because we do

not consider them close. However, I personally feel that we should thank our

friends to appreciate them and motivate them for their good deeds.

  1. Is it easy to ask for help from friends or no?

Yes, in fact it is the easiest to ask for help from friends. Friends are like family

and there is no hesitation to ask anything from friends. I have also heard a

proverb that a friend in need is a friend indeed.

  1. Would you help a friend if you have had an argument?

Yes, I would. In my opinion, arguments and disagreements with friends are

normal and they are a part our friendship. Helping anyone in the time of

need is my duty then why not my friend. I will help my friend if he/she is in

need irrespective of our fight.

  1. Do you believe in helping strangers? Why?

Yes, I firmly believe in the act of helping no matter who it is. Sometimes

people cheat others in the name of asking for help and so we should be

careful. I will be happy if I am capable to help others.

  1. Why do people resist helping others?

Sometimes people are not aware that others are in need of some help. At

times people are so much tangled in their own issues that they fail to help

others. It may also be that people are unwilling to provide help or are selfish.
